Zaok released their 2nd single "baptaized" on August 5th, 2024. The track establishes utter brutality from the very first moment, beginning with explosive chugging, digitalized screams, and a complex soundscape that brings a crushingly heavy sound to the table. "baptized" is like if Thall had a baby with industrial music and black metal. Intense guitar riffage that reminds us of Vildhjarta is contrasted by intentional clipping effects that create a dramatic digital/robotic sound creating a unique Thall-esque sound that we haven't heard before.
"baptaized" has something for everyone - dramatic breakdowns, mixed-in clean vocals, impactful drumming, industrial ambience, and layered clean guitar melodies. Zaok showcases a distinct sound that is chaotic yet controlled in a way that delivers a hard-hitting concoction of thall and extreme metal.
