UNPROCESSED Release Brutally Progressive New Single "Dark, Silent, and Complete"
Germany's UNPROCESSED releases the best iteration of the band to date.
Unprocessed, a metalcore/progressive metal act hailing from Germany is known for their distinct mix of math rock, progressive metal, metalcore, and catchy pop vocal hooks. The band released their single "Dark, Silent and Complete" today (October 2nd) and it's an entirely unique showcase of the band's sound.
"Dark, Silent, and Complete" starts off as one of the heaviest songs Unprocessed has ever released while staying true to the progressive nature of the band. Rapid muted clean chugging and intricate djent guitar leads create a technical sound as screaming joins the mix. Unprocessed creates a really unique sound as they go about traditional metal heaviness in a non-traditional method, using cleaner instrumental styles and sometimes acoustic guitar tones alongside metal drumming and djent riffs to create an intensely heavy yet equally creative and forward-thinking sound simultaneously.
In another unexpected switch-up, "Dark, Silent, and Complete" bursts into silence as distant bass and ambient pads slowly resurrect the song–presenting the first clean singing of the song–as Unprocessed introduces their signature infectious pop vocal melodies. After a gentler buildup, Unprocessed catapults into anthemic hard rock with bright synths, dynamic guitar progressions, and soaring vocals, before fading out with a powerful orchestra.
"Dark, Silent and Complete" is an incredibly creative and unique track from one of the most progressive modern metal bands in the scene currently and it marks a brilliant return that leaves us excited to hear more from the German band.
