Song Review | “Detrimental Chemistry” - Farsight
Spotify Cover - Farsight

Long Island metalcore act, Farsight, released their latest single “Detrimental Chemistry” on March 8th. The track starts with an industrial electronic build-up before launching into crushing guitar chugs, djenty riffage, energetic drumming, and explosive screams. Technical instrumentals with powerful screams work alongside brutally heavy low-guitar to create a full and electrifying atmosphere.

With a gore-filled music video filmed in the church of Josh Balz (previous member of Motionless In White), the song has an accompanying video with bright and exciting visuals. The track has two intense breakdowns with the first featuring inhuman gutturals and a gradually slowing tempo and the second breakdown fades out into an 808 outro. Farsight has created a djent-influenced metalcore sound that they have refined into a cutting-edge and attractive sound. With the latest iteration of the band’s music out, we are excited to see what comes from the Long Island act next! Fans of metalcore, deathcore and extreme metal genres will certainly enjoy Farsight’s latest single “Detrimental Chemistry” out now!
