Song Review | "Get Down" - Deliver The Galaxy

German melodic death metal band, Deliver The Galaxy released their latest track "Get Down" on April 28th. The song begins with a distorted guitar and drum intro that soon introduces low-end heavy chugging, high guitar melodies, and screaming/growling vocals. The song blasts into a blast beat and lightning-paced instrumentals after an intense "blegh". The thrash section transitions into a double bass drum breakdown, creating a dramatic difference in tempo that makes the breakdown so much heavier.

Deliver The Galaxy does an excellent job of mixing traditional death metal vocals and instrumentals with elements of melody to create a full and sonically pleasing atmosphere. "Get Down" even has a well-written guitar solo that moves seamlessly into the song's chorus. Deliver The Galaxy creates a powerful chorus that is catchy despite not using clean vocals, which is a testament to how well-written the chorus is. Fans of heavy metal, death metal, and technical metal genres will highly enjoy "Get Down"!
