Song Review | "Hero Pt. II" - Faith in Failure
A modern rock/metal band from Columbus, Ohio, Faith in Failure just released their latest track "Hero Pt. II" on June 16th. The song starts with fire crackling, tolling bells, and clean guitar melodies that set up a powerful mood. With a sample of a scream, Faith in Failure bursts into rapid guitar chugging, and high guitar runs. Layered over the thrashy, progressive instrumentals are brutal screaming vocals that alternate with powerful singing vocals, creating a strong sense of contrast. "Hero Pt. II" features an emotional chorus with multiple vocal tracks harmonizing to create an excellently filled soundscape.
Faith in Failure does an incredible job mixing deathcore, metalcore, thrash, and progressive metal in a blend that displays catchy vocal hooks yet still remains wildly heavy. Clocking in over 6 minutes in length, "Hero Pt. II" features great production value and lots of variation that continues to keep the song fresh and maintain the listener's interest. The song even has a hard-hitting breakdown that leads into a final anthemic chorus before fading out with rapid-paced metal riffage. Fans of metalcore and deathcore will definitely enjoy "Hero Pt. II" you can stream it everywhere now!
