The Start of Knocked Loose

Hailing from Kentucky, Knocked Loose originally began under the name Manipulator in 2013 and released a self-titled debut single. After discovering another band also named Manipulator, the band promptly rebranded to Knocked Loose.

By the end of 2013, Knocked Loose had already signed to a local record label Little Heart Records, who distributed their 2014 debut EP, "Pop Culture". As the band continued to grow their name in their local scene, Knocked Loose toured across the United States, playing a multitude of shows.

In 2015 Knocked Loose released a split EP featuring 3 songs from Knocked Loose and 3 songs from Damaged Goods (a band that has no other releases to this day.) As the band continued to ramp up their efforts, Knocked Loose was direct tour supported for Counterparts during a 2016 tour. Throughout that year Knocked Loose also toured with acts like The Acacia Strain, Oceano, Stray From The Path, and Gideon.

2016 brought news of a new record label deal, this time with Pure Noise Records, who would be distributing their debut album "Laugh Tracks" which came out in September. Knocked Loose's song "Counting Worms" was a hit and is still one of their most iconic tracks today. Calling out "Arf Arf" before the song's massive breakdown, Knocked Loose created one of the most memorable one-liners - leading to an array of reaction videos, while the song has racked up nearly 35 million streams on Spotify.

As the years went on the band continued to tour, even playing every date of 2017's Warped Tour. With continued success, Knocked Loose began to play with even bigger bands at the time like Thy Art Is Murder, Parkway Drive, and A Day To Remember.

Knocked Loose released their next album, "A Different Shade of Blue" in 2019 with their song, "Mistakes Like Fractures" standing out and gaining the most streams out of the 12-track release. After a monumental headlining tour with SeeYouSpaceCowboy, Knocked Loose spent the next 2 years focusing on touring and even opening a massive show for Gojira.

By 2021 Knocked Loose dropped their EP, "A Tear in the Fabric of Life" which furthered the band's chaotically heavy hardcore sound and memorable breakdowns. "God Knows" was the standout song of the EP, racking up 12 million streams on Spotify in the last 3 years.

In 2022, Motionless in White featured lead singer, Bryan Garris on their single "Slaughterhouse" helping the band reach a new audience in the metalcore scene.

Knocked Loose Skyrockets

After another year Knocked Loose unleashed their "Upon Loss Singles", a series of 2 singles, "Deep In The Willow" and "Everything Is Quiet Now". This is truly when the craziness for Knocked Loose kicked into overdrive.

During the summer of 2023, Knocked Loose was invited to play Coachella, one of the biggest music festivals in the US, not typically known for featuring metal acts - so how did a hardcore band get on the bill? Knocked Loose had a lot of hype going for them moving into the summer of 2023, with many new fans and old fans blown away by their "Upon Loss Singles". Knocked Loose has a history of playing with rap artists like $uicide Boy$ and artists of various genres so it was no surprise when they won over the crowd at Coachella. With no barrier, there were fans stage-diving, crowd-surfing, hardcore moshing, and complete chaos - probably one of the last things you'd expect to see at Coachella. To top things off, Billie Eilish was seen side-stage enjoying Knocked Loose's set, and pop star Demi Lovato then shouted out the band, saying that she would love to collaborate with them.

Since the Coachella madness, Knocked Loose has been consistently going viral and has infiltrated mainstream music, making them arguably the biggest hardcore band of all time. They even recently charted above Taylor Swift on Spotify's "Viral 50 - USA" chart.

Knocked Loose's New Album

After continuing to build their momentum, Knocked Loose released their latest album "You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To" to critical acclaim. With huge collaborations like songs featuring Chris Motionless and "Suffocate" featuring Poppy, there are unexpected yet flawlessly executed crossovers.

Some fans worried the band would go for a more mainstream sound, but the band proved they are sticking to their extreme sound with "You Won't Go Before You're Supposed To" being one of their heaviest and most chaotic releases.

In multiple interviews, the band has stated that they want to "be the biggest heavy band in the world" (Metal Hammer) and that they have no plans of adding singing to their music - they want to see how big they can get without straying from their screaming-only style.

With Knocked Loose currently sitting at over 2 million monthly listeners, the band has soared to unparalleled levels of success and is paving the way for hardcore acts in the mainstream music scene. Knocked Loose is without a doubt one of the biggest hardcore bands of all time, and it leaves us excited to see what new heights they will reach.
