Song Review | "Lost (Down in the Darkness) - Faith in Failure
Columbus, Ohio rock act Faith in Failure released their latest single "Lost" on January 26th. The track starts with dark guitar chugging and bright piano melodies creating a balanced atmosphere before distorted singing is introduced, abruptly adding a dynamic feel to the track. Mixing brutal screams and catchy vocal hooks, Faith in Failure expertly creates a powerful contrast between melodic rock and metal.
"Lost" features an excellent chorus with strong vocals and electrifying guitar chords. Clocking in at just under 6 minutes, Faith in Failure introduces a female vocalist, creating a duet with male and female singing adding another element of contrast and versatility to the song. With an emphasis on songwriting and composition, "Lost" comes across as a metal ballad with a diverse range of instrumental and vocal styles. Our 2023 winners of "The Metalverse Fan Vote Awards" for the best chorus, Faith in Failure create another track with amazingly catchy vocal melodies, technical instrumentals, and classical-esque song composure. Fans of rock and metal will definitely enjoy Faith in Failure. You can stream "Lost (Down in the Darkness" out now!
