Song Review | “Freedom 35 (Live) - Betting On The End
Spotify Cover -Betting On The End

Phoenix, Arizona’s very own mathcore 4-piece, Betting On The End, released their 5-song live EP from Tower Gate Studio on April 11th. “Freedom 35” is the 4th song and starts with agressive screams, progressive drums, and bright lead guitar melodies. Raw vocals that switch between singing and screaming are contrasted by intricate instrumental progressions with rapidly changing tempos, creating a progressive and math-rock/mathcore sound.

Clocking in at just under 4-minutes, “Freedom 35” displays impressive musicianship and intense vocals that create a unique musical sound that is distinct to Betting On The End. Mixing progressive rock and metal influences, Betting On The End uses creative elements, like a melodic flute in the outro, to form an interesting and varied sound. Fans of progressive rock, math-rock, and mathcore will enjoy Betting On The End’s powerful take on the genre. You can stream their latest EP, “LIVE AT TOWER GATE STUDIOS” out on all streaming platforms now!
