Song Review | "Toxic" - Rebuild Rewind

Rhode Island metalcore band, Rebuild Rewind, released their 2nd song "Toxic" on May 5th. The track starts with heavy hitting guitar riffage that leads into intense scream/growled vocals. In an energetic change, "Toxic" bursts into a strong chorus that helps the song build momentum. Rebuild Rewind does an excellent job of mixing heavy elements from extreme metal genres with an emotional singing chorus, overflowing with melody.

"Toxic" transitions into a bridge that abruptly shifts into a feriocious breakdown with a brutal "blegh". Clean guitar is lightly mixed in, adding more to the atmosphere of the breakdown. The song moves back into a powerful final chorus with screams layered behind the main singing vocals. In a dynamic finale, the song finishes with screaming and distorted guitar. Fans of Metalcore, Deathcore and even hard rock will really enjoy Rebuild Rewind!
