Song Review | Going To War With Fear - Apollo's Army
“Going To War With Fear” is a dynamic and energy-filled song that uses aggressive instrumentals that blend with the more melodic vocal styles and harmonies. Apollo’s Army mixes a melodic rock sound with alternative/heavy metal and even influences of punk and djent. They create a huge chorus, with an emphasis on the high singing but this is accentuated by shouting and screamed vocals in the background, adding to the atmosphere. Don’t let the singing fool you though, Apollo’s Army knows how to get heavy. “Going To War With Fear” has a guitar solo into a build-up that explodes with some brutal growled vocals. After the heavy bridge, the song leads back into the powerful chorus and fades out with a modified length chorus! Apollo’s Army mixes a melodic and heavy sound in a very enjoyable way and you should definitely go check them out!
